Farm Shop

Come by in person and get to know our farm! At our Farm Shop, you can purchase our specialty products and get ideas for perfect escargot dishes.

Our farm-to-table shop is open

Monday—Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturday from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m.

Production

After 7 years of farming traditionally, Andreas Gugumuck decided to start cultivating snails on his land. Where the former dovecot once stood is now an escargot manufactory, built sustainably and ecologically, and since 2015 the first and only company in Austria with an EU permit to process escargots.

We make joining tradition and innovation in new ways a priority.

Our values

The Gugumuck Farm is dedicated to sustainable development and the careful and effective use of our limited natural resources. The use of renewable materials and minimization of our ecological footprint is an important concern for Andreas Gugumuck and his entire team. The goal of our company development is to continually improve our conservation of resources in both agriculture and manufacturing, thus ensuring that our operations are always as sustainable as possible.

New ideas in urban agriculture like those that we live and develop here on our snail farm have the potential to significantly reduce environmental impacts. Unlike traditional meat production, snails can be grown with minimal use of resources.

Farm-Bistro

You can now come enjoy our freshly prepared Vienna Escargot in the Gugumuck Farm’s new bistro, with a lovely view of the courtyard and the snail field. Chef Jürgen Winter serves up a delicious and ever-changing 7-course menu.

Our bistro can seats about 28 guests and is only open 3 times a month. We therefore strongly recommend that you make a timely reservation.

Andreas Gugumuck will be there personally to accompany you in this friendly atmosphere through all seven exceptional courses.
